If you’re looking to make a fresh start in the new year and keep those winter blues at bay, here are a few home maintenance tips that we wanted to share with you to help start your 2019 off right:

    1. Refresh your kitchen and pantry. Have you made a New Year’s resolution to eat healthier foods or eat out less and prepare more meals at home? Kick things off by giving your kitchen pantry a thorough cleaning. Put your blender in an accessible spot on the counter to make it easier to whip up healthy smoothies and place that fresh produce front and center.

    2. Boost your home’s lighting. Getting enough light can make a huge difference in how we feel in the winter, so boost your home’s lighting by pulling open window coverings during the day, adding lamps and candles, or using your fireplace (if you have one). Also consider decorating with white for a light, bright look.

    3. Clear home and wardrobe clutter. Post-holidays is a good time for decluttering. There’s a good chance you accumulated some new things over the holidays, so grab a cardboard box and fill it with clothes, books, and other items you no longer use. When it’s full, take it to a donation center.

    4. Organize your papers and digital documents. This isn’t always a pleasant task, but you know you’ll feel good once it’s done. Start sorting, shredding, and filing all of your 2018 documents. And don’t forget the computer—back up everything and begin sorting your digital records using a simple filing system.

As always, if you have any questions regarding buying, selling, or the real estate market in general, don’t hesitate to give us a call! We’d love to help you.
